Our Story

The background

Back in 2006 our Founder Adam Goff came to London as a recent graduate to start a career in Investment Banking. Moving to Clapham because that is where "everyone" lived he soon discovered that getting to grips with a new city, job and house was a lot to take on at once.

No time to enjoy London?

Adam's job demanded long hours and his little precious free time was often spent on "admin" to pay his bills and keep his place from disappearing into the low standards he had experienced when house sharing as a student. Added to that, discovering London was not as easy as he had thought, it was hard to know where to go and what to do, and meeting new people outside of work was next to impossible.

The idea

It is these fundamental problems that drove Adam to create Capital Living. Officially born in 2010, his vision became a reality and forms the basis of the product our members are enjoying today; a high quality, low hassle, simple living solution. As well as introducing our Members to their local area and other fellow, like minded professionals via their new Capital Living Housemates and as part of the wider Capital Living Member Community.

We love what we do

Our Founder's passion to create a simple, social and smart living solution in London is shared by every member of the Capital Living team and it shows in everything we do, be it organising a social event for our members or organising a toilet repair, we love what we do and we do it with pride to make our member's lives easier. And yes Adam is still a proud Member of our community himself, living in one of our houses.
