Who doesn't love to spend a lazy Sunday morning in a quirky little coffee shop? Especially when the coffee is great and the selection of pastry based treats are delicious! Chief is just off Turnham Green Terrace Mews, it's a little bit "off the beaten track" so keep your eyes peeled for their advertisement board next to Cote Brasserie which will point you in the right direction. Chief Coffee has a kind of "Nordic" feel to it inside, the decor is clean, pretty basic and all together kind of trendy! The staff are great and super friendly. Now for the fun bit... inside the cafe is a Pinball lounge! You can see the list of Pinball games on their website: - so next time you're looking for something weird and wonderful to do with your housemates.. you know where to go!

Charlotte's Bistro is an independently run bar just off Chiswick High Street - this place is for the people out there who love enjoying a fantastic cocktail in a laid back atmosphere! The food is sublime - the menu changes every month and all food on offer is seasonal which is a real bonus! You pay for a set amount of courses rather than picking and choosing a meal meaning that the dining experience a little different and a little bit special! The drinks on offer are sourced from local brewers and distilleries and they offer a great selection of wines. Disclaimer: this place is perfect for date night!

There's not many people out there who don't appreciate the taste of delicious chocolate (and let's face it, those people who don't are just plain crazy!) so we couldn't leave L'appètit Fou out of our Chiswick Area guide. Whether you're searching for a delicious gift or just simply treating yourself L'appetit Fou is the place to get the best chocolate in Chiswick (this place is close to the station so take no shame in stocking up before a chocolate-filled movie night with your housemates)!

You probably haven't made it too far down any high street in London without coming across an Honest Burger restaurant - but that doesn't make it any less great! The menu here is super simple and you get exactly what you've gone there for - a big, juicy, delicious burger (and perhaps some rosemary salted chips on the side...). Right in the heart of Chiswick, Honest is a restaurant you can visit time and time again and never get bored - it's easy eating! For the veggies out there they also offer a Fritter burger - we've tried and tested it and it's Capital Living approved.

If you're a pizza lover who hasn't tried Franco Manca then you need to move it right to the top of your to-do list! The pizza's are around £6-8 and absolutely delicious - what's not to love? The atmosphere in Franco Manca is always pretty busy with a Wagamama-esque set up of sitting next to different parties on benches, but it's a little more rustic and "trendy". The kitchens are out in the open in the restaurant so you can watch the chefs making your pizza and popping it in the huge wood-fire oven. They serve good drinks with a great selections of beers, wines and plenty of soft drinks. You can find Franco Manca on Chiswick High Street.

A cafe that doubles up as a cinema? Count us in! Brew is a coffee house come restaurant that holds a cinema within it! You can find it in the heart of Chiswick along the high street, about a 15 minute walk from our CL houses on Whellock Road. The vibe in here is pretty relaxed and the cinema offers beer & wine along with wood-fired pizzas... what more could you want? The great thing about a place like this is that it makes plans easy, head there for brunch on a Sunday afternoon or a drink with your pals on a Friday night - either way, you're going to have a great time!

A fancy fruit and vegetable shop that will be sure to enrich your house-meals together! If you're someone who is into cooking and loves the burst of fantastic flavours - this is the place for you! Natoora is a little more expensive than your average supermarket but offers a range of fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, cheeses and so much more that are a little more special than what you'd get elsewhere. Natoora offer organic food that is grown naturally and seasonally, so you know what you're getting is free of anything artificial and ready to enjoy. Treat yourself with the Natoora Burrata... you won't regret it!

Gails Cafe is located on Chiswick High Street and is the perfect fix for all of your sweet treat and tasty brunch needs! It's a cute little cafe and the food they serve here really is fantastic. Everything is fresh and has a very artisan feel to it - the cakes are amazing and it's super hard not to head back to the serving area for seconds... and thirds... and fourths!! They also serve great coffee so make you sure you treat yourself to a flat white! If you feel like spoiling yourself (and you dabble in trying to bake occasionally!) then we'd recommend getting the Gails Bakery Cook Book - the recipes are amazing, albeit never as great as the real deal.

Simply a 10 minute walk away from Whellock Road and about a 2 minutes walk from Turnham Green Station - this steakhouse is a must for you and your housemates! The steaks here are great and the mozerella cheese burger isn't too bad either... The prices are pretty good, you're probably looking at around £30-40 per person depending on whether or not you decide to have a drink with your food (and if you do, try the Lychee Margharita - delicious!)
