Sager + Wilde

Written by Holly Clemett on Thursday, 13th July 2017

Sager + Wilde is a restaurant in Bethnal Green. It's got a pretty outdoors area with lots of fairy lights to create the perfect summer setting!

Firstly, if you are a lover of pasta and wine, then put this straight to the top of your to-do list!

I popped here on a sunny Sunday evening for dinner and was very pleasantly surprised to see that between 5-7pm any pasta dish and glass of house wine is just £10! Having gone here just a few days before pay day you can imagine how great a feeling that was…

I didn't put my expectations too high, I mean - how good could pasta and wine be for only a tenner?

The answer is: it can actually be pretty amazing!

I went for the ox cheek papperdelle and a glass of house white. The portion size was great and the ox cheek was incredibly cooked - melt in the mouth kind of stuff!

Having loved the main course and being very much in the mindset of "treat yourself!" I decided to go for the chocolate mousse dessert (picture above) which honestly made my weekend! It was just delicious.

Next time you're heading East and fancy something tasty and cheap - you know what to do!
