The perfect city break

Florence: The Perfect City Break.

In 2017 I went to Italy for around 12 days where I stayed in a few different cities throughout the country and loved all of them immensely. One that stood out to me in particular was Florence - I hadn't build it up in my head to be anything special at all which is why I was so blown away by it when I visited; my favourite city of the tour by far.

My accommodation was a little Air BnB in San Niccolò which was the perfect location as you can walk every where in maximum 25 minutes.

So, if you've trusted me this far and you've decided to book your weekend away in Florence, carry on reading for my top recommendations of places to go, sights to see, and things to eat in this incredible city!
 - Climb the 463 steps of the Firenze Duomo - and take loads of breathtaking photographs when you get to the top (you'll have plenty of time because you won't gain the feeling in your legs again for at least another 10 minutes)
- Get a "panini bollito" at Nerbone in the Mercato Centrale Firenze - this is an amazing food market. Nerbone is well known and always pretty busy but the wait is worth it! Panini Bollito is a boiled beef sandwich - sounds gross but trust me it's TO DIE FOR.
- Go to Piazzale Michenlangeo and watch the sunset (just look at the picture I have uploaded with this blog if you're looking for a reason why).
- Get some gelato from Perché No! - best thing I've ever eaten. It's a must. No questions asked.
If you do try any of these recommendations then I'd love to know what your thoughts! Happy holidays.
